The Ketchikan-Gero-Kanayama Exchange program in Alaska is a long-running cultural and educational exchange between Ketchikan and its Japanese sister city, Gero/Kanayama. This program, in operation since 1986, facilitates exchanges of both students and teachers between the two locations and it is run by dedicated volunteers.
