For over 25 years, Consumer Direct has supported Alaskans with in-home and community-based care needs across our great state. We help people access services through Alaska Medicaid, private insurance, trusts, grants, and Veteran programs. We are driven by our desire to help the people we serve maintain their independence and choice.
Programs/Services
- Personal Care: Get help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders.
- Meal Preparation & Shopping: Get help with household necessities and prescriptions.
- Chore Services: We’ll help with routine housekeeping tasks – like sweeping, laundry, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, taking out the trash, and snow removal of walkways in the winter.
- Socialization & Companionship through Respite Care: We’ll help you participate in activities inside and outside your home, like visiting with friends and family or going for a drive, to the park, or movies, while giving your primary caretaker a break.
- Transportation for Medical Appointments: Get to and from medical appointments with hands-on assistance and reliable transportation.
- Day Habilitation & In-Home Supports/Supported Living: Discover your path to independence with personalized supports and skill building assistance within your own home and community.
