Head Start Center (RACAP) Rural Cap Head – Ketchikan Head Start

The Head Start program operated by Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. (RurAL CAP) promotes school readiness for children ages three to five by providing a comprehensive early childhood education experience. The program focuses on enhancing children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through high-quality educational activities, health screenings, nutritious meals, and developmental support.

In addition to serving children, Head Start places a strong emphasis on family engagement and support. Families are considered essential partners in their child’s learning journey. The program offers resources and services that empower parents and caregivers.
